Fischer Farmhouse

This recently renovated contemporary rustic farmhouse is situated on seventeen private acres overlooking an expansive hill country panorama with views of the Devil’s Backbone. Gentle breezes, the sounds of nature, and beautiful oak trees will soothe your senses. A large century oak tree estimated to be two-hundred-fifty years old, sits majestically on the edge of a large field near the house. An old pole barn and the original outhouse remind you of the history of this special property.
The farmhouse front porch welcomes you to come sit a spell.  The two main front doors open to a large entryway with two bedrooms nearby. The first bedroom has two queen beds and the second bedroom has two twin beds and a trundle. Both bedrooms have outstanding views of the backyard and valley. This side of the home has a half bath as well. A mudroom for storage is located just inside the second entrance and enters into the large kitchen area. State of the art stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and kitchen island allow for cooking large meals. A wood counter area with counter stools makes for a nice breakfast area in the morning.
The large dining table that can seat ten guests comfortably overlooks beautiful views of the backyard and hill country landscape through large picture windows and makes for a great gathering area for meals and games. The living area has a sofa, love seat and chairs with Satellite TV, Blu-ray player with a collection of DVDs, wireless internet and board games.
The right side of the home has a full bathroom, a bedroom with a king bed and love seat and a master bedroom with a king bed and on suite full bathroom. There is also a large laundry room with a washer and dryer. The back porch with a ceiling fan is a comfortable area to take in the views at any time of the day. There is plenty of seating underneath the oak trees with Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. There is also a brand new hot tub!
This home is perfect for relaxing, but with just a fifteen-minute drive into Wimberley or Canyon Lake grocery stores, shopping, and dining options are not far away.

"The Fischer Farm House is such a lovely home in an area of Texas full of fun things to do! The house is roomy, very  clean and beautiful. Since it was recently completely remodeled it looks like a brand new house inside & out.  The house is located at the end of a road so it is very quiet and private.  The view from the dining room, den and deck  is gorgeous.  We spent a lot of time in the den, which has comfortable furniture to relax, watch movies or play games.  The kitchen is fully stocked and so pretty! The dining room has a long table that is perfect for a large group. The bedrooms are extra large and the beds are very comfortable and pretty.  The bathrooms are roomy and modern.  One evening we enjoyed sitting out in the backyard, looking at the Devil’s Backbone in the distance.  We enjoyed the town of Wimberley, which is so cute with many shops and restaurants.  We enjoyed eating outside at the Learning Pear Restaurant. We also spent a relaxing afternoon floating on Blanco river.  We had a wonderful stay there and look forward to returning often!" - L. Sizemore

"We had the pleasure of joining our friends and family in this perfectly appointed and quite comfortable home in the beautiful Hill Country last fall (2016).  It amazingly accommodated 11 of us, with some of us coming and going.  The kitchen had plenty of room for several of us to work together all at once preparing meals to share.  It was great fun to hike the property, sit out on the back porch for breakfast/morning coffee and take in the beautiful views, sing together around the cozy fire at night, enjoy the scenery and conversation in the Adirondack Chairs out back, play a game of washers on the lawn, enjoy a nap in a hammock strung between the trees, sit around the ample table to tell stories and share our lives, tour the local area's beautiful natural features (swimming holes and hikes), and shop in Wimberley's quaint downtown area.  It was the ideal venue for a relaxing weekend of gathering and connecting with people we love!" - Daphne & Dan C

"I stayed in this beautifully apportioned farmhouse in late August.  It was spotlessly clean, modern and decorated exquisitely with a classy but casual homey touch.  The owners have thought of everything you need to make your stay relaxed and stress free!  The views from every angle make you feel you are all alone on your vacation, but quaint Hill country shopping and dining are just minutes away!  Great for a large group or even a couple of families to share!
