Horse Creek Lodge

Surrounded by open pastures, longhorn cattle, and live oaks, Horse Creek Lodge is tucked away on a beautiful twelve acre ranch just three miles from downtown Wimberley. The front and side porch areas with outdoor seating, lighting, and propane barbecue pit area provides plenty of room for you to enjoy time with family and friends. Inside you’ll find everything you and your guests need to 'rough it'.

Our three bedroom hill country home features an open living area with cedar beams on the ceiling and stone accent wall for hill country charm along with two sofas, a loveseat, and flat screen TV. The fully appointed kitchen opens up to the large dining table and an intimate conversation area strategically placed right in front of the grand wood burning fireplace. The master suite includes a king size bed and en-suite bathroom with double vanity and walk-in shower. On the opposite side of the home are two additional bedrooms. One offers a king size bed and the other offers a queen size bed. 

The immediate surrounding grounds are well manicured with soft green grass, shady oak trees, and activities galore. Enjoy a dip in this shared swimming pool or enjoy an evening glass of wine in the jetted hot tub. The kids will love to sit around a real campfire in the rock fire pit just behind the home. The newest amenity to the ranch is a large covered pavilion with lighting so it can be used anytime of day. 

This home shares a ranch with one other vacation rental, Cedar Creek. This home also offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms accomodating another six to eight guests. If you rent both homes, you will have the entire Flite Acres Ranch exclusively to yourselves and you will not have to share the swimming pool, hot tub, or pavillion.

"A group of us used the Horse Creek property for a weekend float trip. The property was beautiful and it fit all 7 us very comfortably. The town of Wimberly was a short five minute drive away. The town is adorable and the coffee shop has the best coffee as well as good restaurants and a close grocery store. We all loved using the fire place at night and the pool during the day. It was so quiet and peaceful at the property. It was also not far away from the rivers. Overall, everyone had a great time and loved the property. "We've been to Wimberley several times and have rented from these folks a few times, although not this particular property, and they have always been very accommodating. This house, like the others, was clean and had everything we needed for a great family vacation. We spent a ton of time in the pool and in the beautiful shady backyard and not much time in the house, but when we finally went to bed we really enjoyed the comfortable beds and sheets and new furniture. Our kids really enjoyed the property as well! They played in the huge front yard, swam, and exhausted themselves chasing fireflies each evening. We were excited to see a movie at the Corral Outdoor Theater located on the road to our place. We had a great trip and next time hope to rent the neighboring property for other friends. "LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Drove 2.5 hours from our home to this property. When we pulled onto the property it felt like we were thousands of miles away. My husband, children (aged 21-30) and I were able to come, relax and enjoy our family for a full week. Swimming pool and hot tub were extensively used as was the well-equipped kitchen. Two dining tables and two living areas were a definite plus. Had morning coffee watching sunrise from rocking chairs on the porch and sunsets from the fire-pit making s'mores. We were 10 minutes from all shops and activities in Wimberley. Our family visited wineries, a distillery, local attractions, and restaurants - all within a short drive from this property. This property was as listing described, clean, well-maintained - definitely will recommend to others (I have already told multiple friends). Megan was a delight to work with! She professionally returned all phone calls and emails quickly and was happy to help in any way. The connecting property (Cedar Creek Ranch) will be a plus for future vacations - we can include extended family on the two properties. As close as we were to the city amenities of Wimberley, I felt that we were on a ranch hundreds of miles away - very secluded and quiet! We will return as soon as possible!
